The Nashua Telegraph published an article about me on 3/10/2019!

Davis’ inspiration for creating her main character, Nadira Holden, comes from her enjoyment of the series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Davis said she wanted to create a character that readers could relate to, see themselves in and hope to become. She decided to make Nadira Holden someone who grew up listening to the rules, someone who was strong and confident and comes out of the series as a different person. Davis also said she chose to create Nadira Holden as a strong female of color.

This timely article will help promote my first book reading event!

On March 28th, 2019, at The Book Cellar in Nashua, NH, I will be meeting readers, autographing copies of my book, reading excerpts and answering questions. This book reading event is free and open to the public. On a chilly Thursday night, meeting a local author might be just the thing to spicy up your week. The Book Cellar, managed by Emma Hall, is a wonderful independent book store that strives to build community and support local artists and authors.

As an independent author of urban fantasy novels, I never expected to make such a splash with my debut novel. Of course, I hoped that I would become an instant millionaire with the sales from just one book! That, as you can image, did not happen. Instead, I worte the best book that I could and distributed it widely to most digital bookstores.

This Time is a full length urban fantasy novel about a resurectted demon hunter’s quest to find her missing father. My book has detailed actions scenes, a familar world with terrifying twists, and a relatable female of color protagonist. The reviews, ratings and sales have been great for a debut novel.

Thank you for sharing my joy as a new novelist. Becoming a published author has alwasy been a life long dream and now I’m living it. Motivated by my daugther and supported by my husband, I write fantasy novels that people enjoy. I hope to inspire others to read, write and make their dreams come true. You can do it!
